error identification

The last "8" in the date looks to have issues. Can anybody tell me something about it?

Here is what a counterfeit 1892 CC Morgan looks like , well at least this one.

The overall look screams Chinese counterfeit and as soon as you look at the date, it becomes clear this is a slam dunk, no question, no debate fake. Reported it too, you do the same, save the hobby.

I just acquired this silver dollar and was wondering if I should attempt to clean it in any way before selling. Would using a polishing cloth for silver jewelry be appropriate, or should I just leave it alone and sell as-is?
