when did ebay start requiring  photo(s) of an item that needs to be returned to seller for not as described or defective in order to submit a request for a return label from seller? Especially when ebay already has a image of item in your purchase history. How is a photo helpful say: on an engine that has internal damage that can't be seen,unless it's taken apart to diagnose,but buyer knows it won't run due to lack of compression??

It started recently. Take a photo of the engine anyway and send it. IT won't show the internal damage but just send the photo anyway.   It's very hard for a buyer to NOT get a refund here.  Take a photo of the engine and send it.

@crablip,

What ever you do, do not take the engine apart to photograph a bad ring or gasket. Doing that would void your money back guarantee protections.  Just photograph the engine itself showing the Mfr's name if it is on it.
