Information on Cast Iron Horsemen

Hi. I see many cast iron soldiers but haven't been able to locate these guys. Does anyone have information on them?

Information on Cast Iron Horsemen

@kickboxingbabe71,

It would be helpful if when you post photos you use the open circle w/ an arrow to rotate your photos right way up. Adding measurements or photographing the soldiers with an identifiable object ex: dollar bill, quarter would help as well.  Photos taken from different angles would also help  and if the riders are detachable close up photos of them only would be nice. If you have a magnifying glass look to see if there is a makers mark, a number or Mfr. name possibly on the horses bellies. The figures are not iron, but lead and in bad shape.

I'm making a  guess that these are two, from of a set of 5,  W. Britains, Native Warriors set #164 Arab cavalry, made in 1959.  It looks like the rider with the blue robe is missing its right arm which would have held a scimitar type sword. The red cloaked rider should also be holding a scimitar in its right hand.  The swords were easily broken off though.  There is a later Britains Ltd. #164 reissue mid `60s set currently for sale on ebay.  Item number  144233702335    Note the same missing joint paint on the right shoulders on 3 of the characters.

If you are trying to figure out a value for them, you might get $10 for the pair because of their poor condition, and that would be from someone desperate to complete a set.
