Could not get a USPS label from eBay shipping

I sold and got paid for an item and when I went to create a USPS shipping label on eBay I got the message that there was a problem with the U S postal service and that I should choose another shipping service. I choose FEDEX (which I've never used before) and selected to ship the next day but when I printed out the label it was for two days later. I've always used USPS and have never had a problem like this. Has this happened to anyone here? And if I take this package to FEDEX will they say that I have the wrong date for today and that I have to buy a new label if I want to ship today. Thanks.

I printed one about an hour or so ago and didn't have any problems.

Maybe it's where it's being shipped that was the problem?

I found a post (see below) of problems with the USPS by eBay. So this must be why I couldn't use USPS to ship yesterday and was directed to use another service.
