Yes, I have that error today. Of course there is no way to talk to eBay about it. So, all I can say is that you are not alone in your misory, and eBay is ever as strident in it's f-ups.

What I found out is bookmarking Ebay, causes an error when you go to your watch list. Why, no one seems to know, which I don't understand?
So what I did, was enter https://www.ebay.com/myb/WatchList...and then when you use the drop down menu, and that string search shows up, click on it and that seems to stop that error. Try it and see if that works for you too?

I don't know if it will ever be fixed. but It is happening on my "My eBay: Purchase history" page, which makes check out almost impossible. I had a neighbor kid look at my computer when I was signed into eBay (he'a an internet security expert, no less) and he seemed to think it was a tracking loop.
So, if you have your browser set up to reject websites from tracking your every movement on or off thier site (like when you go to another retailer like amazon or when you use google to search for stuff or when you go to a porn site) then when you come back to eBay, the eBay tracking program asks your browser "where ya been" and when the browser responds "I'm not tellin" then ebay's script just keeps asking like a pesky little kid, and this either causes your bowser to crash or just not opperate properly.
He said that if I removed all security devices and allowed eBay to track all of my online activities, I wouldn't have the problem no more.

Firefox 54.0.1 (32-bit)
Since early July, Firefox would stutter (Not Responding) and recover or would spit out that alert.
Annoying...

grandmawolfdog, at another/similar topic suggested it might be a shockwave Flash problem.
In Firefox click Tools
> Add-ons (Ctrl+shift+A)
> Plug-ins
and to the right of Showkwave Flash click the menu and choose Never Activate.
In firefox I have shockwave flash set at "Ask To Activate" I set it to 'Never', and then went to My Ebay page, the problem did go away.

I've had this prob for the last 5-6 days. Error notification pops up when the display has reached the image for the 8th item in the watchlist. I tried deleting 25 items from my watchlist, bringing it down from 53 to 28 and BINGO! No more script error in next 5 retries. Pls comment if this works for you.

THANK YOU! Finally! I was going nuts trying to figure it out, it was happening on my purchase history page. I dropped from 100 to 25 on the number of purchases to display on the page and that corrected the issue. I am very grateful for the info, you saved me from pulling my hair out. 🙂

This is disturbingly evil. eBay has no business TRACKING us.
It's just one of thousands of Privacy Invasions we get forced to submit to.
Thanx Pixzee for the info.
