This is the only mark on the kettle. I believe it is German but who knows. Here is a couple pics.

I believe it is Danish and a Hans Jensen. He used several fish hallmarks. https://www.925-1000.com/silverplate_J.html

I don't think it's the jensen's fish. This fish looks completely different and the Jensen's fish is always accompanied by the word "Denmark". I could not find any other fish hallmark.

There is another silversmith from Copenhagen called G. Binau who used a similar whale/fish mark. See example here. https://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE1900-G-Binau-by-Simon-Groth-835-silver-Gravy-Server-Spoon-Engraved/3326...
Do you have other pieces to set that could show other markings or stampings?

Definitely not the Hans Jensen mark for the reasons given above, and which looks more like a whale or shark. This looks like a dolphin, and is more likely to be a Dutch mark, again as previously mentioned. I'm surprised, however, that there isn't as maker's mark.

I do not have the piece with me but I was told there are no other marks. I've tried to figure out this mark for days with no luck.
