seller uploaded fake USPS tracking number

I purchased four batteries on October 4 with guaranteed delivery of October 10. The item has not been received.

On October 4 the seller uploaded a fake USPS tracking number.  It is easy to see that the number is not  a valid USPS tracking number because it begins with 0004. USPS.com shows that the tracking number does not exist. MyEbay shows "USPS tracking number"  but there is no tracking information.

What should I do?

File an Item Not Received claim. In due course you will get a full refund.

Yes, as OP mentioned, go to the Resolution Center and file a case for Item Not Received (INR).

In addition, go to your purchase history and report a late delivery such that you get the eBay GD refund!  {return shipping fees if paid, or a $5 voucher}
