I just noticed on Pirateship they include this advisory on the customs form page.
Under the heading:
Package Content Type
Products that were purchased by your recipient; they will probably have to show a receipt proving the declared value is correct to receive the package.
Wonder what happens if they don't match. All the more reason to say no.
It then goes on to say:
Gift
Only choose this option if it’s actually a gift… it will not reduce the chance of your recipient having to pay import duties!
