I bought a makeup item from a seller that was clearly expired - the shade has changed completely from what it was supposed to look like. I opened an SNAD case and the seller issued a shipping label that they made, not one issued through eBay. They had their own address for both the delivery AND return addresses. I didn't think I'd run into problems since this seller has solid feedback, so I printed the label and mailed the item back.
eBay kept reminding me to mail my item, and I realized the seller's tracking number wasn't automatically uploaded like it has been for other returns I've dealt with. When I inputted tracking manually I saw that delivery was attempted to the seller multiple times, but their "business was closed." It appears that the item is being returned to the return address they provided (which was NOT my address).
What should I do in this case?

Call customer service, they should issue your refund. You can usually call as soon the tracking shows it's on its way back to you & they will refund you.

I didn't read that the sender address --
is the same as the delivery address either.

This...
Is the problem with sellers who game the system by "sending" their own label, they likely have never 'accepted' the return and what happens next is they "refuse" delivery of the return, oh yes... But fear not, what you must do is call Ebay's Customer Service and explain to them what happened, make sure you have the tracking number.
