Question about refunds

Hi everyone

One or two months ago I bought something on eBay, but I didn't receive it so I contacted eBay, and they gave me a refund to my PayPal. But I forgot which one I used in my purchase: my credit card, or my PayPal account.

The question is, if I buy something with my credit card, and it doesn't arrive and I want a refund, will I get it back to my credit card, or to my PayPal? Also what if there is no PayPal set up in my account, will eBay just refund the money to the PayPal e-mail you used once before?

If you get a refund on Paypal for a purchase made with a linked credit card, Paypal will refund your credit card. It will take a few days, however.

but what if paypal has nothing to do with this, so it's only eBay? will I get the refund to my card, if I purchase with my card?
