"eBay has requested that the funds from this eBay sale be held temporarily. Money that has been put on hold by eBay will move to your available balance automatically within 21 days."

Received an email saying this. No idea why. Seems weird, and unfair? I've had one package that was lost in the post: could it be that?

You are located in the UK, so ebay may have different rules.

Here in the USA, the payment hold would be released 3 days after tracking shows DELIVERED.  If you ship without tracking, the hold would be released after 21 days.
