Warning for sellers

I have a big question.

Yesterday i got a massege from ebay mebmer reffering an item selling by me. But that was not related to that item and he has put her personal mobile phone number.

But ebay sent me a warning massege "Warning - Offers to sell outside of eBay".

I did not do anything wrong. I just replied " You can not do that"

How can I correct this matter?

How will it affect to my selling account?

How can I block sending contacts through ebay masseger?

Could you please help me to resolve this matter.

Thank you

You cannot "correct" the fact that someone sent you message.

It will not affect your selling account.

Ignore it.

Warning for sellers

As long as you don't sell anything off eBay, you are fine. You don't have to do anything and won't get a defect. Just block the user.

@bestthing_bestprice

A. Ignore ALL messages asking for your mobile number or PayPal information

B. You can add that person to your Blocked list, below are instructions to help you:

C. Nothing for you to correct, just ignore those messages

  1. go to My eBay page and click the Account tab
  2. go to Site Preferences and click that
  3. Go to Buyer Requirements and over on the ride click Show
  4. When that opens go back to the right and click Edit
  5. Next list, at the bottom just above the Submit key is a check box, check it then go to the end of that sentence and click block list in blue.
  6. Next window you can type in the ID of the Buyer EXACTLY as it appears.  If you have more than one separate them with comas then click Submit.

&. When you get a chance read down through all the Buyer requirements, you can set things so people with 2 strikes in the last 12 months cannot bid your items, etc.
