Did you mean:

USA Seller and a UK buyer can not buy my GSP item, Why?

I am in MP and I have most of my items selected to use the GSP.

This morning I received the following message:

------------------

Potential Buyer:

Will you post to United kingdom buddy?

reed-sales:

Only through the global shipping program. That option should be available on the listing.
Cheers,
-Mike

Potential Buyer:

It just says no international postage.

------------------

So I looked at the item to verify and here is what it says on my end:

"Item location: Mount Shasta, California, United States

Shipping to: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, China, Germany, Japan, Brazil, France, Australia, Denmark, Romania, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Finland, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Estonia, Portugal, Cyprus, Slovenia, Sweden, Korea, South, Taiwan, South Africa, Thailand, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Netherlands, Poland, Austria, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Switzerland, Norway, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Croatia, Republic of, Malaysia, Colombia, Montserrat, Turks and Caicos Islands, Bangladesh, Egypt, French Guiana, Guernsey, Gibraltar, Iceland, Jersey, Jordan, Liechtenstein, Sri Lanka, Luxembourg, Monaco, Macau, Maldives, Oman, Peru, Pakistan, Paraguay, Vietnam, Uruguay"

Is eBay's Managed Payment program most likely the issue?

I think I read somewhere that sellers can no longer accept international orders once in MP. I assumed that meant if I was doing the shipping myself to their country.

I perhaps incorrectly thought that eBay(Pitney Bowes) shipping the item for me would allow GSP to continue to work.  I have sold several items and shipped them to the GSP address in KY since I started MP in July.

Has something changed or perhaps this was just a glitch?

Attached screen shot of what I see on my listing.

Thanks for any insight!

In the ops case, it's the listings that are the problem.

This page says MP is not the issue:

My guess is yet another glitch or maybe a confused buyer.

I am in the UK, and I could buy some items from you, but not all. Some of your listings state "may not ship to United Kingdom". I don't know how many of your listings are not available to UK, I haven't checked them all...

Sometimes it is not the listing but the item.

There are restrictions on certain items that can ship to certain countries.

I have seen where things like knives can not ship to UK.

Thank you, here is the item in question:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/382066196527

The listing is nothing that should be blocked anywhere, just a bicycle axle.

The system will allow me to buy that item when I click on buy it now, I got the commit to buy button, but it also says I have to contact seller for international postage costs..

Postage and packaging
This item will post to United Kingdom, but the seller hasn't specified postage options. Contact the seller- opens in a new window or tab and request a postage method to your location.
Item location: Mount Shasta, California, United States

Thank you again!  I have removed all International shipping information and then re-clicked the ship Internationally with GSP.

There were other International shipping details listed from many years ago before the GSP existed.  Those have been removed, hopefully that's all it was.

The listing page no longer lists the countries I ship to, it just says, "United States and many other countries"

The listing is fine now, did you fix it or was it a glitch?

I can see shipping is $18.01 to UK via GSP.

It seems the old information I mentioned in post #10 was the trouble.

I had from many years ago entered the countries I would ship to and the type of shipping I would use.  Sometime after GSP was introduced the International shipping type was removed and the list of countries remained.

This seemed to then be used instead of the GSP that was selected and therefore the message to contact seller came up, rather that the standard GSP rate.

The tip off was when I removed the countries I ship to below the GSP box, then the message switched from a big list as shown in the attached image on post #1 to no only saying, "Ships to: United States and many other countries"

Now to see the whole list, the shipping details link needs to be clicked.

So no glitch, just old settings that have been conflicting for who knows how long with the GSP.

Your help was awesome!  Thank you again!

Thank you, I had fixed it before your reply.  I had searched google and I saw an old post of yours about MP and International Sales.  That allowed me to rule out MP as the issue.

USA Seller and a UK buyer can not buy my GSP item, Why?

I had a issue on Friday where listings that had both GSP and my own shipping were ONLY showing the non-GSP  option. I had to go in and remove the other international shipping options to get GSP to show up for a potential buyer.

When I spoke to a rep (and color me shocked as it was a native English speaking, USA based rep) she agreed it was a tech issue and supposedly reported it.

Same issue. Cannot ship GSP to the United Kingdom. Have to revise listing to select "Other Shipping "Service" for international shipping. The problem is the only reason I ship GSP is for the protection so when I

ship Other Shipping Service for international I have no protection. I reported this over a month ago and was

told it is a glitch but it still is not fixed.
