UPC Workaround?

UPC is  required for this but I keep getting a "UPC Not Recognized" message so can't list.

I'm taking it right from the package!  Yes, of course, I've checked to make sure it's correct.

There are newer versions but it's not a product that expires.

I swear this less expensive something is, the bigger the headache.

Are you including all the numbers and no spaces?

Tried N/A ...Does Not Apply didn't appear as an option.

Actually, the message was "Can't find match"

Tried several combinations...with/without spaces...with/without the two "remote" numbers at the ends

Isn’t there a little check box above or below for “does not apply” or something similar?

N/A will not work.

Does not apply will not always appear but you can manually type it in. Copy paste this:

Does not apply

Is it possible you did a typo? Type no spaces and all 12 numbers.

No info online  from the upc plus brand name...just more different items of that brand.

I'd suggest ending this now except a solution might be found that will help somebody else in the future.

For me, it's thanks all but I've given up.

I did find the workaround,sort of.

Using a Sell Similar, it comes with a UPC filled in.

Tell me what buyer will ever check the upc code  on a stupid $6 (free shipping!)  item like this?

Wow.  Never heard of that.

Maybe because it is a sell similar and the original template had it there?  You're not in health/beauty or some weird category for this right??

I would guess it's that  these other listings are simply newer versions of the same product.

Wouldn't go in health/beauty.
