I'm trying to list a single item for auction but the app keeps asking me to register my business with personal and bank account info, what's up with that? I had listed a few items in the past using a paypal account but now the app is not letting me do that.

That is correct, before list anything you need to add your banking information so you can be paid.

Paypal can be used for purchases not for selling anymore.PayPal and eBay have ended their contract several years ago, so eBay’s payment processor is now Adyen.

You may also be required to upload your SS # to receive your 1099 when your eBay sales reach $600.00 this is required by the IRS.

I would also suggest brushing up on the fees. They've probably changed as well since you last sold.
