Can someone please tell me how I can get buyers to leave feedback?

I always leave my buyers feedback, usually as soon as they purchase something. I have sold thousands of items and yet I don't have 800 in feedback. I just don't understand why they don't leave feedback!!!

I always leave more than I get. I've never heard of a seller getting the same or more feedback than they leave.

Pretty sure you know (after 16 yrs here) that no one is required to leave feedback.

You have 796.  What more could you accomplish with 800, for instance?

Many sellers don't leave FB for buyers because it can only be positive.

Some buyers respond to that by not leaving any.

Suggestion.  Keep being a good seller, and forget about feedback.

No feedback is good feedback. Means the buyer is likely satisfied.

Many, many buyers do not leave feedback any more.  Why would they?

Do you do a lot of buying on the internet, not just Ebay, but from different stores? How often to you go into each of those companies' websites and grade that company when you purchase from various stores? My guess is only 20% or less actually leave feedback when purchasing items online.

If you aren't already leaving feedback for all buyers start doing that.

Then stop worrying about it. You already have almost 800...more than enough to prove you are an actual human who ships items.

You can't. Leaving feedback for buyers does not generate feedback. Accept the fact that most buyers just can't be bothered. Unless you just want to autoreply with feedback to anyone who pays (NOT recommended because you then have left feedback for the frauds who open bogus returns and the neutrals or negatives when USPS delivers a day after eBay's ridiculous delivery estimate), leave generous feedback to buyers who do the same for you.  When I receive the occasional "ok", not even caps, I may leave "thx" or nothing at all. And for the rah rahs singing the praises of eBay and buyers, I am not doing too bad with 5445 net positive feedbacks, almost all from selling......

As a buyer, I wish there were automatic feedback, like for the selling side.   Sometimes, it is just too much hassle.  Does not mean you did not do an excellent job.  Just means I didn't care enuf to take the time.

They do not leave it because they have no incentive to do so. It is time consuming and they get no benefit from doing it.

Is it good news when the buyer not leaving feedback leaves the seller's percentage at 0% ?? If buyers are slowing getting away from leaving feedback then that percentage thing needs to just go away because it is sort of useless now.
