Can Someone Please Explain Why some people get away with stuff like this???

There is someone with over 1000 transactions selling pirated copies of Halo combat evolved with CD keys found on the internet and making a profit.  This person does not own a single copy of this game and is continually scamming customers who don't know any better. This has devalued physical copies of this game as he is selling them for $5 a piece. It used to be that you could sell a physical copy of this game for $25-$30 and now you would be lucky to get $10 for the game as a result of this eBay user. Can the eBay community come together and report this listing. As it violates the terms of service for a product that this person does not own, listing a digital item in a physical listing only setting, and Continues devalue software for those that actually have legitimate copies. Here is the listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Halo-Combat-Evolved-PC-DIGITAL-DOWNLOAD-PRODUCT-KEY/133377427850?_trkparms=...

Please help make eBay a Safer place for people to shop and not let those who lie and steal make a profit.

ok,  here is an explanation

Because people wont report these type. Some lay it on others to report.

If more people reported things, Ebay could do something about it. But, if it isnt reported, Ebay cant do anything.

Remember the maytag commercial where the  maintenance guy is sitting around with nothing to do because the product maytag sold was so reliable the maytag guy had loads of time to kill?

Well, thats what I picture Ebay reps (ones who handles reports) doing from lack of  reports    😋

Judge not others by your own limitations

The only way to stop sellers like this is to contact the gaming company, who can (if they care) contact Ebay and have Ebay pull the listings. If the gaming company does that, the listings will immediately be pulled.

The people buying this stuff know it's bootleg and they don't care - they have to know. Anyone with half a brain knows that they're counterfeit/bootleg/stolen.  I don't believe for one nanosecond that people actually think they're getting a legit copy of that game.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

That would mean there are 1000 people unhappy and will most likely report the seller. Maybe they do not mind just getting the digital version. With that said let those who are unhappy report the seller. You can just continue to sell the actual game which I am sure many people would prefer that instead.

@mhitch2015

@southern*sweet*teais correct.  I think that this is a VERO situation that the gaming company who created this game needs to deal with to get that "seller" off the market here.

So many unscrupulous people around as of late...

...sigh...
