Buyer paid less than price and won

This is the second time this week that an item was listed for one amount and the buyer paid less and won the item.  Can anyone explain? Thank you in advance.

You have 2 items that sold with Best Offer. A pair of boots and a pair of Sandles. All other items sold where sold with the buy it now price. 

You may have set your acceptance price for whatever the buyer paid or close to it.
