Hi so I sold an item of a doll a few weeks ago, buyer wanted my PayPal and she sent me like 400 sum on PayPal but I never received any money. After that I kept getting emails to keep buying gift cards to “verify” my PayPal account because I’m new. I keep buying gift cards of 300+ and they say it’s the final step but once I send it they ask me to buy more cards. Am I getting scammed? Please help me, I’m tired of spending my whole paycheck on gift cards.

NO! Ebay is not emailing you, a scammer thief is and apparently it is working for them. You will not recover this money, it's gone. I'm really sorry to tell you this but stop all communication with this thief.

Scam.
Only accept payment through the eBay system.
Never communicate about any other forms of payment.
Stop communication and report the buyer to eBay immediately through your my eBay.

If you are buying gift cards ... and sending the 'buyer' the codes off the cards ... you already have lost hundreds of dollars which you can't get back.
You apparently jumped into selling on eBay without having any idea how eBay works. New sellers are targetted by scammers ... who have many clever ways to bilk the seller our of their item.
You were NOT paid for the item. You were asked for your PayPal information so that the scammer could send you a FAKE notice from PayPal that PRETENDED you've been paid.
I'm so sorry this happened. DO NOT list any more items until you know what you are doing.
ONLY A SCAMMER does any of the following:
EDITTED TO ADD: PayPal is NOT processing buyer payments for you. You're on Managed Payments. You can only BUY with your PayPal account. Nobody is paying you money into your PayPal account.

I am so sad to hear of people still falling for this scam. Unless you are 95 and of feeble mind or 10 years old and not supposed to be on e Bay anyway HOW does one fall for this? Not to be cold hearted but really common sense should prevail.
YOU are NOT getting any money back from the scammer.
