Returns

Just wanted to ask everyone because I was not aware of it, when you have a return no matter how it was sent when eBay provides a return label it automatically uses a priority label to have it sent back to you, meaning if you are a seller that pays shipping and send an item first class Ebay generates a priority label to your buyer to send it back to you and charges you for that. This should be a choice that we as sellers should be able to control but Ebay doesn't even give us that option.

Returns

The last return I had last year had First Class return service on it. But since USPS did away with FC, it is now ground advantage which is a slower service. So it makes perfect sense for eBay to use Priority Mail return service so the return gets to the seller the quickest way possible.

Returns

Never experienced this, nor have we ever heard of what you are describing. 🤔

We have had returns, sent back in everything from an over sized box to an item stuffed into a mailer too small for the item.

No matter how an item was sent/returned, we have only ever been charged whatever the actual postal cost to us was. People have sent items back in Priority box when we shipped ground, and we were only charged for the original ground or the other way around, sending item back ground when we shipped Priority, which we then were charged our original Priority cost.
