Text disappears

When I type a message to a seller (Contact Seller) the text disappears. I type it in but as soon as I stop typing it disappears from view. If I highlight it, it is still there just not visible. This seems to only happen with Chrome.

Is there a fix for this? Is it Chrome or Ebay?

Are you using a Grammarly browser extension? A couple of folks have recently posted messages saying turning that off solved their invisible messaging problem:

Yes I do use it, so is it Ebay, Chrome of this extension, do you know. I really don't want to turn it off or have to remember to turn it off when on Ebay.

Yep, that fixed it.

I've been using Notepad or Wordpad, then copy/pasting into message area. Have Grammarly also, and not removing it.

If you try disabling the Grammarly extension on eBay only, does that allow you to see your message text?

Yes. I disabled Grammarly - and that allows me to see the message text.
