WWI Photo Holder Red with Eagle

This appears to be a photo holder from WWI but not sure.  The front has an eagle; it opens up and on the inside on the left is a blue star.  On the right is a place to hold a photo.  May I have more info on this?WWI picture.jpg

Could be WWI or WWII. The Blue Star banner was known as "In Service" banner. A gold star would denote a service member killed in action/service.

I've see da Blue Star and da Gold Star insignia so if da star is blue, most likely dat's what ya got but...

That eagle in ina gold circle with a star.

Well, seems kinda unusual almost to a soviet influence.

Most insigna's I've run across with an upright wingspan as shown are special ops or commando related.

Soo... Might be some other countries deal.. maybe even Egyptian?

Just seems a little odd that they would use an eagle like that in da USA

Just my opinion

The eagle on the face of the frame is likely a stylized representation of the US Army Air Force insignia.

Pay attention. China is going to win it all!
