Can anyone identify this antique medal?

Hi!

I got this medal at an estate sale.  It is gold on the front and silver on the back, and someone said that the words are written in Russian, and I can't decifer the words.  The silver seems to be sterling and the gold seems to be real, but it's not marked as such.  Thank you!
