cancelling a purchase

Hi,

I have mistakenly done a purchase but didn't pay for the item.

I contacted the seller and he agreed to cancel the purchase.

But he didn't do the same and finally an unpaid case recorderd in my profile.

What should i do? Is it me who should cancel the purchase on ebay? I dont know. please help.
