Need help Identifying Cuff Bracelet

It looks fairly old.  Southwest style?  Not sure of the stone.  It weighs 2.5 ounces.  I can't tell if it's silver.  I can't find any markings, except for an engraving that looks like maybe a 44?

Don't know the maker, but I believe the stone to be an agate, sometimes called a "landscape" agate, though there may be a specific name for the desert-type scene.

The engraving is really difficult to make out.  Almost looks like a face.  I'm pretty sure it is silver, it's too nice of a stone/ bracelet not to be.  Not sure if it's native american, the flower design doesn't look it.
