Pretty little Garnet brooch!

Very pretty little brooch. Tested the stones, they are garnets. Haven't tested the metal yet, but willing to bet it's silver. It strikes me as Victorian. Was hoping you could help me figure out what these are called. Have seen similar pieces to this before. Cheers!

Looks like a Victorian rose cut Bohemian Garnet pin, possibly set in silver.

I agree with the 2 of you ...definitely Victorian . Look how far the pin stem extends out past the clasp . Most likely an early Victorian piece . 

I I would trust Calico on the Bohemian rose cut garnets . She knows her antique jewelry !

Sure looks like it from here. I've found tube hinges that were post-WWII but this is O to the L to the D. No problem selling that pretty baby if you can manage to pry it out of your jewelry case. I have a few pieces of similar vintage hiding in the depths of my hoard. My brain says SELL but my dragon's heart says HOARD. (LOL)
