Need some Bead Help

Not sure what these beads would be called.  Thanks in advance for any help.

Don't know if you can tell from the pictures here - they are much better on my computer - but the beads are red glass with canes of white glass with flowers set into it.  I'm assuming these are Italian.

Millifiori or Paperweight are keywords that come to mind.

Those were strung in Italy too, from the look of the materials used.

I thought perhaps because they weren't typical millefiore they might have a special name.  I think they're really cool, but no one else at the auction even paid attention to these poor babies.
