Any sign the brooch might have originally had a hinge-and-catch that broke off and was replaced by that pinbar? Because otherwise I'd really doubt it.

I agree that clasp must be a replacement.  You can see it is a nicer piece.  It would never have had that clasp originally.

 

Can't help with the Schreiner, but maybe yes or maybe some other designer ??   In the first picture there is sort of a gap shown --is that just a trick from the photo or is something missing there?

 

It does look like an above average piece.  Pretty color. 

 

Perhaps others will have suggestions.

We never would have used a bar like that for the pin, and catch. Might be an European counterfeit.

Omg....the clasp was replaced..you can see it if your looking for it..and i photographed it at an angle to shoe its domed...so..what do i do now? How do i list it? I would never claim schreiner unless it was confirmed..

I think the best thing is to list as high end unsigned designer and mention the replaced clasp.. I thank all of you for your guidance!!
