Help with small heart charm

Hi. Can anyone tell me what this small heart is made of? Also it has a mark on the back I can't identify. The bale is 14k.

If shiny it could be MOP.  If matte it could be ivory.

Thanks for your help. It's def. not mop and I don't think it is ivory either.

What does it look like from the side (edge?)

There is a very very slim chance it could be egg yolk amber. If you rub it or warm it does it smell like pine?

I was thinking that if the Bale is gold than the heart must be something special.

(I have an older bloodstone heart which has a gold Bale.)

It looks to me to be tooth or tusk fossil.

Or maybe some kind of shell ? Similliar to a carved cameo , not the pink shell but something else ?
