Hi Joolies! I bought this set from an estate sale today. I have used macro and an external macro, and I just cannot read this.

I apologize for forgetting to shrink that first shot. I can't even tell which way is up on the first shot .

The smaller shot looks like "sterling" to me.

Thank you Rainbowtree. It does to me too. Maybe I oversized the first shot. Would this be called goldwash or goldplated?

Gold over sterling can be called vermeil if it is 22-24k gold on the silver.

I see 4 letters and 925 at the end, maybe a magnifying lens can help you see the letters, that's what I use, a loupe and it helps me a lot.bought it here in Ebay and named it Loupita,but I think there is a mark and .925 after it. Good luck.

Thank you all so much! I used a 10x loupe and I still couldn't read this mark. Each earring had a different mark.
