Beautiful Vintage flower pin 1940's who made it I am stumped?

This is a beauty  it is layered and is 3 1/2 inches long about 3 across and almost 1 inch high

Part of the makers mark is rubbed off but looks like Pennad but nothing comes up for that.

This is a great piece so it has to be somebody

Any ideas.

The image of the back the petal at about 10 o'Clock has a faint Mark. May ending in a "D"?
