This cup and saucer is translucent with blue tint - the design is raised. I would appreciate if someone can help ID the maker and/or pattern. Many thanks!

Being a picker you have to have almost instant recall to know what something is and its value....

Depressing glass is glass that folks spent $1000s of dollars collecting and with the advent of the internut became almost worthless overnight....

It is depressing, depression glass used to command very good prices, now it's giveaway prices on all common pieces. I knew dealers who sold nothing else but depression glass. Now they would be starving if they were trying to keep at it. Depression glass has come full circle. Much of it used to be giveaway pieces in oatmeal boxes and the like.

So the sales of depression glass on eBay are depressed and that gives you depression?
How depressing!

ersatz I looked at it,but EP is worthless maybe a $20.00 item and not worth burning up any brain cells. It will be solved by someone, but once solved will add zip to its value. Just once I'd like to see some Dirk Van Erp pop up to be solved...

I know bubble. I was just having fun. The bird mark bothers me only because I couldn't identify it easily!
I mentioned I have a Hanau piece that needs ID'ing and nobody has taken me up on it, nobody is willing to spend a solid week looking straining their eyes 😄

The easy way to solve it is just call it something in demand put a stupid price on it and within 24 hours of listing a boo bird will come along and tell you what it really is. They never buy anything just get a rise out of raining on peoples parades...
