Can anyone identify this? petrified wood? or is it dinosaur bone?

I am a collector of many things, but my most recent collection of stuff is my grandfathers collection of dinosaur stuff and rocks, minerals, and gemstones.  I just found this beautiful piece of something, it is 6.5" x 5' x 2"  and weighs about 4.5 lbs,  it's beautiful but I don't know what it is.  Can anyone identify it?

Looks like petrified wood with some of the bark still on one side.

Not petrified wood.  Looks like wonderstone (picture jasper).

It is a nice piece of Biggs jasper. Very collectible type and sells in the range of $20-$40 per pound (depending on whether it is a polished specimen, whether it has pits in the areas suitable for cutting gems, etc.).
