Chanel scarf authentication help

First time post and wondering if anyone can help. Bought a Chanel scarf which seller assures is genuine and welcomes any authentication. The label is missing and its silk chiffon in the grafitti pattern 2007/2008. Seller says she purchased in Selfridges. My concern is the hem is machined but I have read that some Chanel silk chiffon is machined and not hand sewn. Any help would be appreciated. Defo silk and good quality print but not sure other than that. Many thanks

No one buying it would consider it authentic without a tag, even if it was.

I can't comment on whether the scarf is genuine Chanel or not but I disagree with your statement saying that removal of a tag changes authenticity. If something is authentic, it's authentic whether there's a tag or not.

Whether a buyer is willing to pay the same amount for an item with a removed tag is separate and that's up to the buyer.

It's fairly common for people to remove tags/labels if they find it irritating or if they don't want it to show when being worn.

Thanks for that and I agree I wouldn't pay as much without a label. But also agree that an absent label doesn't make an item less authentic, just less valuable
