Hi all!
My expertise is in vintage clothing and accoutrement-- NOT pottery or ceramics. I humbly request help in identifying this piece. No marks, the clay feels rough, but not overly grainy, and its hand painted. Not sure if it was a vessel to contain liquids as there is no lid. I'm just not sure of country or origin nor age. Can someone help? thank you very much!

Looks like pottery from Tonala, Mexico. A popular tourist ware.

Agree with @Anonymous Mexico, souvenir, classic. Usually there is a small cup that sits on top and you keep it by your bedside and whatnot,. https://sandysimports.com/products/botellon-jalisco-mediano?variant=21227799674957¤cy=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&utm_campaign=gs-2018-11-27&utm_source=google&utm_medium=smart_campaign

Thank you two very much, I would not have known that if it weren't for that! Is it agreed that it is vintage?
