I'm assuming this is marble, and I'm fairly certain it is. The figure here measures about 3" tall. The backside has no decoration or carving on it. In addition to the drill holes by the eyes there arre 2 drill holes on the op of his head.
On first glance it looks Aztec to me.

And to me, he looks like Hanuman. Not that that's terribly helpful, but it's all I have.
