Why does eBay keep extending the delivery estimate?

Simply put I bought a twenty dollar item (Star Wars collectable) the Monday before Thanksgiving and was given an Estimated Delivery Date of December 1st. When the EDD came up I went into check the status (mind you I recieved no tracking number), eBay had extended the EDD until the 8th and this morning I went to file a dispute and they said I have to wait until after the EDD date been passed and in all honesty I'm so frustrated my nerves are a total wreck.
IF I can't get some sort of resolution to this in a reasonable fashion I'm done with eBay permanently.
