Fees on Sales Tax?

Hi - I just realized that eBay charges their 13% fee on everything including sales tax.  Can anyone explain how they get away with charging fees on sales tax?

How did you find out? 

I think some sellers are just finding this out because Managed Payments shows it all in one place. When PayPal was around, there were two sets of fees. PayPal fees were taken right away and eBay fees accumulated over the month, to be paid in a lump sum. So many sellers never actually took the time I break down the fees per transaction. 

Fees have always been applied to the total payment received from the buyer.

Ebay is not doing anything wrong so they are not getting away with it.

You seem to be okay with it as you are still listing items.

Hmm credit card processors charge for all. PayPal charged on all> and eBay does as well.
