how to not loose top rated seller status on free shipping sales

I offer free shipping on some of my listings.  I found out that if I don't have a tracking number on every item it goes against my top rated seller status.  On free shipping, I don't usually use tracking for small things because it is much cheaper to ship.  I mark the item as shipped without using eBay shipping.  How can I sell with free shipping and no tracking to not have it go against my top rated seller status?

You can have up to 5% of your items not have tracking and still be top rated.

Check if the items might qualify for the standard envelope - it is first class postage, like using a stamp, but includes limited tracking. It meets the tracking requirements.
