Why wont ebay consult or poll sellers before they make pointless changes that destroy sales?

Talking mainly about all the jewelry section.  The drop in sales literally happened when ebay combined 3 very large categories into one. The search results have been horrible and it gets tedious to scroll through boxes to check. Ebay thinks a stone dictates which category a piece belongs. Being in the jewelry business for 20 years I would never consider a 14k gold ring with a cubic zirconia or even turquoise a piece of fashion jewelry. I consider fashion jewelry to be throw away junk. The crap that sits out on the floor at stores and not securely  behind a counter. This is what happens when people are hired and put in place of things they know nothing about. And please do not blame the economy. Sales have picked up on other platforms so it is not the economy. Getting tired of ebay making thoughtless changes that crush sales. Its impossible to contact anyone for an answer too. Selling on ebay since 2016 over 40,000 transaction and 2 million in sales. This will be the first yr sales dropped and it will be significantly. All ebay seems to do is make thing as complicating as they can.  making listings is becoming a tedious chore. Item specifics do not make sense, they are scattered all over the place and you need to scroll several times to get through all of it.

This is one of life's greatest mysteries...

EBay may have reasons that you are not aware of.
