Unsure a customer is who s/he says s/he is . . .

I got a desperate offer to buy my phone from someone, but when I sent a reply, the username was completely different and looked wrong to me. How can I verify the sale is coming from a legit person and not someone hacking an account? They told me to send them the offer and would pay me in 40 minutes. I did revise the price but I haven't sent any offer. Just feeling something may not be right.

If you do  not have an official offer from eBay to accept/decline, there is nothing to do.  Be careful...phones are high scam items.  Keep communications through eBay.  Do not fall for a buyer asking to text or email.

No, there was no asking to text or email outside of eBay. They say they got an offer sent, but we'll see. It's just that I didn't send one. This person has 100% feedback of over 300. So, I'm hoping this is legit.
