Tracking Numbers added to items purchased.

Sellers should be restricted! from entering a tracking number. until the item has been picked up by the shipping company. Adding tracking numbers before the item is shipped. and the buyer having to wait for days. for it to go live in the shipping system, is a huge waste of time for the buyer. this does not leave a good reputation for the seller; this would be very easy for Ebay to step in and resolve this issue.

eBay actually has no way of knowing when the package has been dropped off … since not all packages are scanned ‘Accepted’ by USPS.

Every company I buy from sends me a tracking number when a label has been created.  eBay is merely following the norm.
