Shipping large flat item.

Can anyone advise how to ship a large paper item that is 18 X 24 inches and must be shipped flat.  Thanks in advance.

Shipping large flat item.

Find 2 large boxes that you can cut up.  Put the item between 2 pieces of cardboard a bit larger than the item - large enough that you can tape it closed in a few places without damaging the item.

Then take the other box and cut down the sides so that you you make a box that is about 26 x 20 x 2. It will be easier to make a box 2” thick than 1”.  Add some bubble wrap or packing peanuts to cushion the item on both sides inside the box.

You will have to pay a surcharge for it being over 22”, but usps will probably still be the least expensive way to send it. Keep it under 30” - the surcharge goes up at that point.

Do an internet search on how to make a cardboard box smaller - there are videos that show you how to do it.
