Selling for a year and eBay wants me to sign in to my bank account>

Hi I've been selling for a year and eBay direct deposits money to my checking account. I just got a message for me to sign into my account to update my banking information. I've made no requests or changes of any kind,

I've searched the web for answers but I cant find any. Is this a normal request?

Make sure the message shows on eBay in 'my messages' - all emails from eBay will be there.

eBay has been asking for additional info to verify identity. Your post is the first I have see about about asking you to log into your bank account.
