Regarding shipping

I sold an item and the shipping cost was a lot more than what I thought it would be.  I learned this when I went to buy a box for the item.

I shipped the item (not using eBay shipping) and added the tracking number.

What happens to the $100.00 the buyer paid for shipping?  Will eBay send it to me once the buyer receives the item or do I have to request that money?

Those funds will be sent to your checking account along with the funds for the item, minus their fee's.
