Made a recent purchase on Ebay and although speed of delivery was excellent, the order had been fulfilled and delivered by Amazon . I thought that this was against the selling terms of Ebay? Only problem for me was that the item cost me some 20% more than would have been available through my Amazon account.

If the seller used Amazon to fulfill the order using the seller's own stock stored in an Amazon warehouse, that is allowed.
If the seller placed a retail order with Amazon after you placed your order through eBay, that is not allowed.

Do you enjoy some sort of higher value or satisfaction by using eBay rather than Amazon, or do your criteria consist of only the monies? For example, I, and others, complain about eBay's search engine, but I find Amazon's to be worse. I'd gladly pay a 20% premium on smallish amounts just to not have to mess with Amazon's search engine. YMMV.
