Misrepresented Items

I bought some photography equipment: two wireless receivers and a trigger. One of the receivers has an adapter on it to connect to a light stand, but the adapter is on very tight. I'm concerned that twisting it will snap the plastic receiver. Having the adapter on it greatly limits its use.

Also, the trigger works, but I can hear a piece rattling inside. I'm worried it'll stop working. 

The seller stated they don't accept refunds/returns. What do you suggest? Can eBay do something about it? Should I get my credit card company involved?

 You are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee. This overrides the sellers no returns policy for items that are not as described.   

You have 30 days from date of delivery to file an item not as described refund request on eBay.

4 business days after filing the return request if the seller has not provided a return shipping label OR sent the funds to your PayPal account to pay return shipping if they are in another country then ask eBay to step in and help:

If you have to purchase a label at the post office with the funds that the seller provided be sure to upload the tracking number into the case. The tracking number is your proof of delivery.
Returns to countries that do not have 1st class delivery confirmation MUST be shipped Priority Mail.
