I have been scammed

Long story short i have been scammed 1200 off 6 ebay cards in the last 24 hours and i need to know how i can get that back?! I put a little trust in people and this is how it turns out. I feel disgusted and so stupid that i fell for this. Please help me.

Sorry no, gift cards are the same as cash there is no getting it back.

You are not alone -- many have been taken in by similar scams, sadly.

Unfortunately, once the scammer spends the money on your gift cards -- likely within minutes of receiving it -- there is no way to get it back.

Contact the site where you originally spotted the ad and make sure the ad is taken down.

I wish I could tell you differently ... but there is no way to get your money back if you voluntarily gave someone the codes off gift cards.  It is like handing over cash.

All you can do is report the listing for whatever item you 'bought' to the website you found it on.  You didn't see it on eBay ... and eBay had nothing at all to do with the scam.  The 'invoice' you were sent was created by the scammer after you gave them enough personal information for the scammer to personalize it for you.
