Ebay seems so rigged in the buyers favor

I have been selling/buying on ebay long before there was ever a paypal.

I just sold an item that I found at a garage/estate sale.

I didn't offer returns!

The item wouldn't turn on and had a service indicator on the display.

This indicated a dead battery at minimum it would have to go into the factory for service.

Long story short the person bought the dive computer sent it in for service, and it needed more than just a battery.

They wanted a refund. I didn't offer returns in my ad.

I cleary stated that the item would need to go in for service, and that I had no working knowledge of it's condition.

Ebay found in the buyers favor saying that I should have listed the item as parts, and not used.
