How are sellers money handled?
is it still through PayPal?
(I was told eBay & PayPal basically had a fight & broke up)
or are there more rules I haven't heard of yet?

Yes ebay now uses their own managed payments system.
I suggest rereading all the policies of ebay before selling. A lot has changed in the past few years.
